On the Cover of my Journal

Lace, red packet, calendar on hard cover

Memories of the past are like fragments of little things cluttering my mind...not able to get a whole picture anymore. Sometimes, I like little things for no apparent reason and they evoke some feelings but I am no longer able to recall the reason. But who cares?

Fishes Have their Day

Fishes swimming upstream,
"Forward! Forward! Forward!
We can do it!"

Ang Bao puzzle, Red packets on paper, 2010

Done by my cell group members before Chinese New Year 2010
The objective was to experience that we all can make little pieces of art and join them together as a bigger piece of art work. It's about team work and every one plays a part.

Melancholic Rain, 2009

Incidentally feeling blue, wish there was something to cheer me up...
yes! those falling yellow petals...they make me smile

Substantiate, Acrylic on paper, 2010

“bottles, glasses, vases, jars...
emptied or filled,
celebration or after,
drunken own or with peers,
did I reveal? did I talk?
...what did I say? what did you hear?
What is truth, what is lie?
What is real, what is not?
Do I need to substantiate everything?”

Substance-d memories, Acrylic on canvas, 2009

Substance-d memories
Acrylic on canvas, 2009
61 x 50.5cm
Treasured moments are preserved in bottles; to be shared only with loved ones. Amidst them, we search for the ever elusive happiness. Only after an outpour of the content, can we be refilled with new meanings; and only after we have shared those moments and emotions, can we see ourselves clearly through those bottles we have emptied. How many bottles of memories do you have?

Join-ted, Cosmetics on paper, 2010

Through trials and tribulations,
finally we piece ourselves together
no fear, we find ourselves saying,
"it's,
ok,
it's
just
me..."

Trees

I love the way their branches reach out to the sky...
some age gracefully, some looks rather painful and awkward. But they all can survive in all weathers. Sometimes they wither but they still survive and even flourish. That's why I love trees.

Abstracts of self

Created by instinct.
Mediums used: nail polish, eye shadow, blusher, papers

Lines in the sky

Silhouttes and nots

Marina Mandarin; great service, allowed us to take photos without having to eat there :-)
One day after school...while waiting for friend

Taken from car park of Harbourfront, the day that I was "lost" at Vivo

Trinity @ Adam

Freeze motion of a waterfall at Trinity Christian Centre at Adam Road. The building will be torn down soon so I went there to take some shots for memories.
